This collection of images are from one of my favorite spots in New Zealand. Nearly everyday for two months, we woke up to a certain pulse and energy in the water that only the southern Pacific can produce. Swell, wind and consistency were all players and it seemed they meshed best with the likes of Bluebridge’s fun rock bottom point break and soft sand beach breaks. The surrounding environment is quite unique with a large headland protecting the inside point as well as local sea life projecting their home, break, spot… whatever you want to call it — they are the true locals.
