Offering USA-made products whenever possible is at the core of Surf & Adventure Co.’s vision for our retail store and rental operation. For years, we have trusted the craftsmanship of New York City-based manufacturer Worksman Cycles to supply our rental fleet with their durable and rugged Atlantic Coast Cruisers. Now, for the first time, we are proud to offer four Worksman models for sale in our retail store: The M2600, Newsboy, Base Cruiser and Brooklyn Dutchie!

In an era of American history where more and more big corporations are outsourcing labor and production to cheaper — both in terms of quality and cost — operations overseas, Worksman has remained true to their core value of producing cycles of the highest quality at their solar-powered factory in Queens, N.Y.

“It’s not easy to stay in business making things in America — if you don’t believe in it, you’re going to leave,” said Worksman president Wayne Sosin in an interview with CNN Money (the full video is below). “The easier answer is to close your factory and go overseas.”

While manufacturing giants like Schwinn and Huffy laid off its American workforce to move operations overseas, America’s oldest cycle builder — established in 1898 — remains committed to building some of world’s highest-quality, functional bikes, trikes and carts here at home.

Worksman’s commitment to their values, employees and the U.S. economy makes their products a natural fit for Surf & Adventure Co. We hope that you come to our shop at 577 Sandbridge Road between 9 a.m.-6 p.m daily to check out our Worksman lineup for yourself. You’ll become a believer in their superior quality and classic styling.
