While the surf around Virginia Beach and Sandbridge hasn’t quite found the same form as Thursday, Oct. 29 — a day that has become an instant legend in local lore — there have been plenty of opportunities to get wet and enjoy the unseasonably warm water temperatures that November has offered up so far. As his Instagram name suggests — @justajettyrat — Surf & Adventure team rider and longboard extraordinaire Evan Micele has been logging time around Virginia Beach ahead of his current trip to the West Coast, on which he embarked yesterday. Over the past year, Evan has really zeroed in on his longboarding skills and the results speak for themselves. Grace and precision are the hallmarks of Evan’s game, which looks as strong as ever. It’s been awesome witnessing the development of his talent over the years, and these nine snapshots of masterfully-ridden waves put it on full display.
