Impromptu camping missions to False Cape State Park has become a favorite pastime for the Surf & Adventure Co. crew this summer, and why not? False Cape State Park is the most remote and least visited state park in our great commonwealth, yet rustically accessible from the south end of Sandbridge Beach. The McKechnie brothers — Billy, Matt and Paddie — alongside Lauren Rowell and Maddie Smith recently packed up their gear via bike-trailer rig and made the six-mile trek to the sands of False Cape. We’re stoked Matt brought his camera to capture some rad moments around the camp site and in the surf! Away from the light pollution of Hampton Roads, False Cape offers up some incredible opportunities for nighttime photography. The icing on the cake were clean waist-high waves that greeted the crew at first light!
