Words by John Streit. Photos: Wesley Neill. Having people like Brian Bassett on the Surf & Adventure Co. crew is what makes this such a special place to work. Alongside Brian being a genuinely good person with tons of energy and enthusiasm for life; he’s also a passionate, dedicated and talented surfer. It’s been great having him as one of our top surf instructors this summer, as his stoke for surfing is contagious to all who get to see him in his element. That’s why when Brian said he was going for a three-week trip to Nicaragua, I was naturally super-stoked for him. You just know that he would take full advantage of having days on days of fun-to-pumping conditions. You can also bet that he would be on his game coming out of a consistent summer of waves in our region. This set of Nicaragua surf photography by Wesley Neill shows that he did just that. You know the Barrel Hound is going to sniff 'em out wherever he travels. Photo: Neill. It looks like Brian scored it as fun as it gets, but this place gets even better! Photo: Neill. Brian is one of the most consistent around at blasting airs. Here he lets it fly, tail-high. 1 of 5. Photo: Neill. Brian Bassett, 2 of 5. Photo: Neill. Brian Bassett, 3 of 5. Photo: Neill.
