Photos by Daniel Brittain. Words by John Streit. Living up to its name, Memorial Day Weekend keeps producing memorable moments. The latest example comes from the lens of S&A’s Daniel Brittain, who brought his trusty camera along for a bike-and-surf ride to False Cape with some friends and fellow S&A crew. Per the day’s surf forecast, the gang didn’t expect too much in the way of waves when they loaded up for the 7-mile trek through Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge and False Cape State Park to the Barbour Hill beach access. In fact, Danny didn’t even bring a board along for the ride. To their surprise, however, they were greeted with the adrenaline-pumping sight of really fun waves peeling across the isolated sandbar. When I first opened the email from Danny containing these photos, it immediately hit me. This is what the Surf & Adventure Lifestyle is all about: Getting together with your best friends, choosing an adventure, going for it and scoring good times — with or without the icing-on-the-cake of fun surf. Fortunately for the crew, their efforts were well-rewarded in the form of some beautiful little waves breaking into the afternoon. We encourage you to strike out on your own False Cape adventure! S&A is now offering guided bicycle tours and — as always — offers bicycle rentals to get you into the wild! Leave a Reply Cancel ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
