Video by Jordan Montgomery.

…And we’re not talking the season. The title of this video references the springsuit – a short-armed, short legged neoprene garment used to protect ones body from water temperatures ranging from 75 to 66 degrees or so. Naturally, its name is derived from the season in which it gets the most use by the surfing populus. That’s what makes this video edit by Jordan Montgomery of Surf & Adventure team rider Evan Micele so unique. Here we are in the opening phases of winter, and it’s still feasible to wear such a scant wetsuit. In my 20 years in the water, this is by far the warmest the water — and the weather — has been this late in the year. Not that anyone’s complaining. Pair that up with some banging, long duration pre-frontal swells and it’s been a December to remember. May this video serve as part of the lore of this Indian Autumn that has served us so well. Congrats to Jordan and Evan for this video earning a spot on Eastern Surf Magazine’s website! Great work boys!
